The unexpected can befall anyone: illness, accidents, serious injury, unemployment, fire... the list is long and is an equal-opportunity dealer. Everyone is vulnerable.

Man's education will not teach us how to survive Armageddon, but I hope that some of my posts and publications will help smooth some of the rough spots in your roads through life. A case of The Unexpecteds can wreck even the best laid plans. Being prepared to help yourself and those around you brings greater peace of mind.
For the past decade, I have been working on a monster project that has gotten way too big to self publish. I needed to break it into pieces, or else suffocate beneath its sheer size and weight.

Whether you are very well prepared, or if you are only slightly prepared, you will benefit from this practical, can't-do-without kind of book.
Much of the handbook has been author-tested; the rest of it has been given a honest nose-in-the-dirt test drive by someone, somewhere in the real world. I hope no one ever needs to put some of this stuff to actual use, but much of my blog contains excerpts from my upcoming Hard Times handbook that would be of help you in case you are ever put to the test...
